Research Interests

Dr Strini Naidu is Senior Lecturer and former head of the Division of Physiology (Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine). Specialty teaching areas include Neurophysiology, Cardio-Respiratory Physiology, Endocrine Physiology, and Pathophysiology. His research interests are wide and varied, and range from investigations into the water-handling capacities of Namib Desert tenebrionids, to systolic time interval and echocardiographic assessment of cardiac function in his postgraduate cardiovascular research programmes.
