Community Outreach

The Discipline of Medical Microbiology prides itself in offering pathology services not only to tertiary hospitals, but also to outlying and neighboring laboratories as well as clinicians.

Clinical advice on patient management is available 24 hours a day by both a registrar and consultant pathologist.

Weekly academic and patient case presentations are held in the department, where clinicallly challenging patients are discussed in detail by a multidisciplinary team, including pathologists, scientists, infectious disease physicians and other specialists of importance.
